Lucille Campey
Lucille Campey was born in Ottawa, Canada and moved to England following her marriage to Geoff. Having trained as a scientist, she later entered the world of politics when she became an adviser to a cabinet minister during the John Major years. An ongoing love of history led her into another world around twenty years ago. After studying Scottish emigration to Canada for a number of years, Lucille acquired a Ph D on the subject from the University of Aberdeen.
Having written eight books on Scottish immigration to Canada (see www.scotstocanada.com) Lucille went on to write three books on English immigration to Canada described in this web-site. She has also completed three books on Irish immigration to Canada (see www.irishtocanada.com).
In 2016 she was awarded the prestigious Prix du Quebec by the Quebec government in recognition of her ongoing contribution to Canadian immigration studies.
